Yesterday I went to a gun show here in Alberta, Canada. I took my time looking at all the booths. There were quite a few safari calibre rifles but all seemed to be cashing in on the Big bore hype, nothing of a good deal to be found at first. I quickly shifted to looking for optics and was pleasantly surprised to find this vintage S&B 1.25-4x20 at a booth in and amongst some other old redfield/bushell vintage scopes. I paid $150 CAD for it and couldnt be happier.

Is anyone running these old S&B’s? Its the perfect magnification & at 1.25 has a surprisingly large field of view. I currently plan on putting it onto a Zastava M98 I also got at the show yesterday for a fairly good deal.

Yeah I didnt even bother to try and barter. Just paid for it and ran away! I always liked the look of the S&B’s, happy to finally have one in the collection. I have a vintage weaver fixed 2x on my 458wm on a griffin & howe QD mount that I may swap as well. But for now it seems at home on my new Zastava

It seems I have one on my 416. It's marked 1.25 - 4X20 so, might be a bit newer, but according to a couple of the members on the forum it's an older scope. I know nothing about it other than the glass is awesome. I'm searching YouTube for a video showing how to make adjustments.
