Sunsets, Stalks & Stunning Trophies – Another Day of Magic in the Eastern Cape
Today was yet another unforgettable day in the bush here at Umlilo Safaris. We kicked things off with a challenging stalk on a pair of Oryx, who’ve been moving together for the past few days. After several sightings and careful planning, our huntress made her move—and what a shot it was. A beautiful trophy, earned through patience and precision.
As the day unfolded, the Eastern Cape gave us one of its signature moments—a Kudu bull hunt at sunset, with the sky ablaze in color. The stalk was tough, the timing perfect, and the reward? A magnificent bull, taken just as the light turned golden. The photos from this one will speak volumes.
To wrap up the day, we seized a unique opportunity and added a very cool Porcupine to the tally. A quirky and exciting end to a day full of contrast and character.
Well done to our hunters—from rugged stalks to golden light, today was a celebration of skill, beauty, and the wild rhythm of the Eastern Cape.
