All, I finally came into possession of my new Siace 12 gauge double rifle. It looks really good, minus the recoil pad mounting job, which I’ll remedy later.

I found one issue, which doesn’t prevent me from shooting it, but is really annoying. When breaking open the gun, the chambers don’t open enough to remove spent shells, or insert new ones. I can put enough force on the forearm to clear the breach, but this seems wrong. I should be able to just break open the gun and insert new shells, without having to apply force.

Any incite on what the issue may be? I have a hard believing that it was designed this way?

It's new and tight. Break it open and shut it as you watch tv. In a few thousand reps it will loosen.

I hope it’s that simple! I bought it used, but I’m not sure how much it was shot. I doubt very much, given that 12 gauge slugs are both expensive and hard kicking!

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
