So I finally got a few guns that may not be considered “high grade” by many but for me, if they were stolen or destroyed by TSA or baggage handlers it would bum me out and would be hard for me to replace.

I think I’d like to get them insured - especially to be covered while they’re outside the home being used. Does anyone do that?

I used to rely on my homeowner’s policy but these guns exceed the entire firearms coverage limit on my homeowner’s policy. So now I have to look elsewhere. I looked at a rider on my homeowner’s policy but it would be kind of ridiculous.

Ive been looking around and Gun & Trophy looks like it may work but I haven’t been able to find info regarding coverage during sporting events. They cover things like safaris and air travel to hunts, but will they cover sporting events which are far more frequent, are around more people and present a total different risk profile?

what do you use for coverage?

if you’re wondering the guns are worth about $5k each….they‘re not $100k heirlooms but I wouldn’t want to write another $5k check to replace one.

Eastern Insurance

Collectibles Insuarnce Agency----they insure a lot of odd collections, including guns, during travel, use, fire, theft, and shipping. they have been easy to work with but I've never needed to file a claim as of yet.

Hi Joshlee0518 (please let me know if you are fine being addressed like that),

Thought I would drop you a PM. It is super exciting to plan a hunt and we are more than happy to assist you. Have you given any thought yet to which species you would like to take?

What do you hunt usually and which weapons/calibers are you using?

Look forward to swapping experiences and ideas.

Happy hunting - Daniel

Is this rifle sold? If not what is the weight of it and do you know if there is enough difference in diameter between the 35W and the 9.3 to allow for a rebore to a 9.3x62 which is what I am after?
Thanks,
Gary (Just down the road in Springfield)
