SCI Auction hunts

A lot of excellent advice given. All I can add is I an a board member to my local sci chapter. When picking our hunts for auction our main thought is making money, sorry but it is a fundraiser. We do our best to use outfitters that we have history with and limit or number of african hunts. In my area the winning bid on a Africa hunt is very low. But they do sell if the outfitter attends. We have never had a bad report on an african outfitter to date but a few on whitetail hunts. Once there was a complaint I do my best to figure out what happened, as it is not always the outfitters falt. If it was really a bad outfitter we stop doing business with them, even if they are a 100% donator. We're all hunters and would never putt money over our members trust in getting what we advertise.

I have no idea the shipping cost from here to Costa Rica. I can do my research on shipping and get back with you later today.

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
