I have been a long time lurker here for information gathering purposes, but now have a question of my own. It seems that proper stock bedding needs to be done on the Ruger RSM in 416 Rigby to prevent potential stock cracking and maintaining accuracy. I plan to buy one of these rifles in the near future and want to have the stock properly bedded before use. I've seen where folks used to have AHR do the bedding work but that they do not perform this work any more. Does anyone here have suggestions for gun smiths that are knowledgeable about Ruger RSM's and do good work on these rifles? Thank you for the help!

Hi Potlicker
I have a RSM in 416 Rigby that’s been to the gunsmith and was bedded properly, trigger optimized and LOP changed to 14 1/2” with a pachmeyer recoil pad but the original butt plate goes with the rifle. Shoots MOA with 400 grain TSX or A frames. Let me know if you might be interested. I have ammo and dies also. Thanks

I have a RSM and was trying to figure out how to bed the thing. I had it pillar bedded and an extra cross bolt installed but that recoil system totally flummoxed me. It shoots really good so I probably shouldn't really consider it. In any case, do remember any of the details of how it was done?

Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent customer service. Ordered some 9.3x62 brass and the delivery was a little short. An email through your website Contact Us link was replied to the next day with the tracking info for the correction. Good pricing coupled with great customer service will see returning customers every time. Thanks again!
