For sale is my Ruger RSM 416 Rigby. The rifle is near mint minus two safe dings. Rifle has a Pachmayr recoil pad and has been magnaported (previous owner). Feeds and functions well, never jammed or failed an extraction. $3200 obo plus shipping.

Beautiful rifle, such a shame about the magnaporting (I know, not your doing); best of luck with the sale ...

Definitely not original but doesn’t add any additional muzzle blast or noise as compared to my previous 404s or 375s. I actually like it.

Supposedly; certain increases muzzle-blast for anyone not right behind the rifle. Some ranges DownUnder frown on them to the extent of prohibiting them.

Yes it does reduce felt recoil. I’m uncertain as to the degree of reduction. It’s certainly not like a muzzle brake where everyone around is deafened or stunned by the blast. We have rifles with brakes and there is a significant difference in a Magnaported and muzzle brake.

Excuse me, I wasn’t trying to run off buyersit just seems odd that a guy with everything under the sun hasn’t fired a rifle with magna porting, and one without.
I understand. Let's try to focus on helping @Andrew Short sell his rifle! He definitely seems like a GREAT guy! I've talked to him over the past few day's.

Thank you RB. All my WBY's have muzzle breaks. Also some of my 458 lott, 416 Rigby, 505 gibbs,500 jeffery, and 550 magnum. I have shot them with and with out breaks. How ever I don't have one magna ported. That is why I asked the question..
KRISH.

Fair enough! I apologize Krish.
This 416 would sure be a great addition to your collection and an excellent way to compare the different styles of breaks. But again my comment was out of line and I apologize!

That is fine. No problem. Have a good day.

For those who don't like the Magna port, easy fix would be to cut down the barrel to about 22" or so, recrown, move front sight, and now you have the rifle perfect. BTW, beautiful rifle @Andrew Short.

correction, only if the barrel is 25". For some reason I was thinking it was a CZ-550.

Bump!

I would be interested in it if you pass. Please send me the info on the gun shop if you do not buy it. I have the needed ammo and brass.
Thanks,
Ross
