Hello, I posted on another members thread yesterday, On the subject of Ruger shipping delays being due to wood stock material delivery issues.

I mentioned that Randy Brown had told me that Ruger was struggling with getting wood for the stocks.
So here is the follow up to that discussion.

I stopped in today to take him some O/U shotgun chokes I had for him. And while they’re wanted to confirm that I had heard him correctly.
That the reason Ruger and other rifle manufactures shipping is slowed, is due to wood availability.
He said that was half true. The other half is Ruger struggles with employees that are skilled enough to make the stocks. So between the wood, and having enough employees to make the stocks, that is the primary reason holding up the rifles being shipped.
One member asked, well why isn’t it affecting all the other rifle manufactures. So I asked him that question also. Randy said if you take a look many others build primarily synthetic stocks now. anybody dealing with wood has had delays. Unless it’s Pine or laminated.
Synthetic stocked Rugers should not be impacted either.

Unfortunately, while I was there. I saw his latest Limited run of 77‘s and they are gorgeous. Only 2000 and being made. They are in 450 bushmaster. A straight wall cartridge used for whitetail in several Midwest states.

The one pictured is one they set up and dialed in. one hole at 100yards.

I made it out without buying it. Usually I’m not that strong.
The last limited run Ruger I bought there was a number 1 in .450 bushmaster (Walnut and Blue)
Only 50 total made in walnut and Blue. the others are all laminated stock and stainless.

The Ruger pictured has the usual straight grain boring wood they have been using for some time, the other rifle below has nice wood though, whatever it is.

You mean Bergara?

Thanks for the update on that. Might be why Winchester took a while to release another batch of Safari Express models. I got a bunch of "in stock" notifications recently from old searches.

Sir, I will gladly take that 16 gauge off your hands. I was waiting for your Winchesters but I'm a sucker for a 16 ga.

I bought a great deal of the brass he had for sale, plus I already had many hundred rounds.

How much brass are you looking for?
