I need to mount a 1x4, 30mm scope on my No 1. The rifle comes with 1 inch rings. Does Ruger make low 30mm rings. I couldn't decifer their "numerology", nor have I found anything for sale in that height. It seems to start at medium, but I can't really imagine why. Doesn't have to be Ruger rings, but they are the most locally available.

Try contacting Ruger. I've heard of them swapping rings out for people, never tried it myself though. The Alaska Arms rings are also excellent, I have a set on one of my .375 Rugers. I'll probably buy another set for the other one too.

Order warne QD ruger rings.

Can find cheaper if you look around.

They also make low and high. I like the med.

A couple days ago I mounted a 1-4x, 30mm scope on my Ruger M77/44 using Ruger medium #4 rings. I think they will work just fine for your #1 too.

They did it for me when I acquired my No 1 in 375 H&H. I just called customer service and they were very helpful.

Check out Leupold brand ruger #1 30 mm rings; listed as "Medium, but they are slightly lower to the bore line than Ruger rings, a little better machined for a clean fit and lighter in weight (yes I weighed them).
I have 2 sets of Leupold rings on my Number 1's, will buy more.

Good Afternoon,
How firm are you on your Dakota 416? I am highly interested but looking at a few different guns currently.

Best,
BJ

What is the minimum you would take.

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
