I have a simple version as a shed heater and it is incredibly effective. run it on deisel and waste oil. Once it is going I have the regulator cap shut of completly and the top cap 85-90% closed and it keeps the shed warm in the winter months. If running all day (3 to 3 1/2 hrs in the morning and the same in the afternoon) it uses about 3 to 5 liters of fuel.

FIRE...[EDC]

To be a little bit prepared in your daily life is so much better than to go out there and see how much you can 'suffer' to 'proof' yourself...

[Eg. Producing an emergency fire is really not that simple without modern means for the average man/woman, or as easy as some stick rubbing experts would like you to believe , given the vast variety of unsuitable terrain , materials or weather conditions sometimes existing when you really need a fire in a hurry...]

Some here would maybe see this as a bit of a controversial statement, but please don't--it's not the intention!

By all means, teach yourself the old skills and ways, [I also do] but really, 90% of the time in a 'survival' or an emergency situation, life could have been so much more bearable if just some basic precautions has been taken beforehand...

Eg. --do you EDC carry a small pocket knife?

--or as a non-smoker, do you EDC some small unnoticed means of a fire starter [Ligter, matches, Ferro-rod, lens etc.]

The list can go on and on...

[Its understandable == where it’s possible in the workplace and where 'society' or laws allows it!]

Just always be as prepared as you possibly can and FIRST try it the easy way before you burn calories or risk injuries [blisters] etc.!

I EDC this kit in my left cargo pocket along with a Leatherman Wave and a SAK One-handed Trekker
  • Ferro rod w/stricker
  • BIC Lighter
  • 7 fire plugs
  • 16" of Triple Braided waxed Jute
  • a CC 4 sharpening stone
  • 2 lens wipes
  • 1 antiseptic wipe
  • 12 ft of #36 Bankline
  • Whistle w/compass
  • 3 Band-aids
It's all ways better to have and not need than need and not have.

Carry a 9 volt battery and a piece of steel wool. Place the battery contacts against the steel wool and you WILL have a HOT fire starter with a little bit of kindling in a hole in the ground.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl

Hey Steve, This is Steve Washington we met at KMG last year. I am interested in your Winchester. Would love to speak with you about it. I work third shift and I cannot take a phone with me to work. Let me know a good time to call during one of your mornings. My phone is [redacted]. Live in Florida so I have to account for the time difference.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Good day, Slider.

Do you by any chance have any 500NE brass left that you are willing to part ways with?

Best regards,
Boela Bekker.
