Your rifle in the one hand. And Ron Thomson in the other. Is a winning combination.

Two things happened to me , the first was for some reason in elementary school we studied the history of Dr. David Livingstone in Africa. The bait was cast. Secondly, and I can't recall how it happened, I stumbled across the writings of Ron Thompson, I acquired a personalized copy of his book collection and the bait was taken, hook, line and sinker. Three trips to the Dark Continent and I am still fascinated by his writings and knowledge.

Had not heard of Ron Thompson-just now found some of his books on Amazon. Thanks for the tip!

Thank you all for respectful replies.
And further advice.
On the John Van Zyl presentations on Youtube is a wealth of information on various topics pertaining specifically to the Rhodesia of then. Zimbabwe.
For those interested.
Enjoy.

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.
