To mark 250 years of gunmaking heritage, London gunmaker John Rigby & Co. has introduced the Rigby 250th Anniversary Gun Rack, a limited-edition piece that combines practical function with timeless craftsmanship.

Handcrafted in South Africa from solid African kiaat wood, this gun rack is designed to reflect Rigby’s enduring commitment to quality. Sourced from Zimbabwe, Botswana and Tanzania, kiaat is renowned for its exceptional strength, stability and rich natural grain, making it the ideal choice for a gun rack intended to serve for generations.

Designed to hold five guns securely, each rack is trimmed with 3.5mm thick, vegetable- tanned bovine leather. Treated with natural vegetable oil to enhance its longevity and character, the leather both protects and elevates the rack’s overall finish. The folding design, secured with leather fasteners, allows for convenient storage and effortless transport, while the adjustable leather carry handle ensures ease of handling in the field or at home.

A distinguishing feature of this anniversary edition is the solid wooden plaque set at the top of the rack, inset with leather and bearing a brass plaque engraved with Rigby’s 250th anniversary seal, a discreet yet striking nod to the company’s long history of fine
gunmaking.

Complete with an integrated shelf box beneath for storing cartridges and shooting essentials, the Rigby 250th Anniversary Gun Rack offers a refined solution for both display and function, making it an ideal companion for a shoot lodge or home gun room.

RRP: £1,130.00

That would be a classy way to display rifles or shotguns. Pull some from the safe and show them off for visitors. Or throw it up at the gun club.

Also for a retail store.

The advert model has wonderful wood.

I just saw Budsgunshop.com has both the guide gun and the African for $1150. FWIW - I bought both and decided to use the Guide gun - I restocked it in a Bell and Carlson stock and I added the Alaska arms floor plate to add a round. I wanted the shorter barrel as I will use a suppressor. I wont go lower than $1100, but I will ship it and no sales tax.

Let me know if you are interested
