I know that I've probably posted about this before, one of the neighbors across the pond was taken about five years ago.
I don't believe that it was predation as the gator brought the body next to our driveway and did not consume any of the victim. That gator was 11.5 ft, we think that it was a shegator protecting her nest.
I have a picture from the incident which I will not post here.

The larger gator in those pics was a solid 10ft, the other one 7.5-8ft. We have seen 12 footers in there before.

This baby was in the pool a month or so back.

When I lived in Florida as a kid, the neighbor had a dog that barked all night…every night. Most irritating. One night he stopped. The next morning we saw the doghouse he was always chained to bobbing in the canal behind the house. A 6 foot alligator had nabbed him and pulled him and the doghouse into the canal. I’ve had a soft spot for gators ever since.

There is an even quieter way.

Roaster chicken ÷ a can of draino.
Not speaking from experience and I don't advise it but I have heard stories.

I personally never did it.. but I definitely saw a lot of dead cats on the side of the road in Baghdad…
