Remington 280 Improved with TTSX for Plains

Thought I report in on how my Remington 280 Ackley Improved did in South Africa, 5 for 5 one shot kills. I was using IMR 4350 Powder and Barnes 150 grain TTSX bullets pushing about 2900 fps. Longest shot 220 on Kudu, shortest 50 yards on Impala. The ole 7MM bullet was doing its job for sure. I quess the ole DEER rifle did a pretty good job even in Africa :rockon:

I am going to use TTSX bullets in both my 6.5-06 and my 375 Ruger this year.

I used a 300 ruger compact mag. on everything from kudu to springbuck with 180 grain nosler partitions and superformance powder and never felt the need for more power. I had a 338 win mag. as my backup rifle but did'nt need it. Funny thing my ph had a 300 win short mag, 30-06 and a 270 that he liked to use. I think he has used a 06 on proplem lions and leapords. You may have to change your handle from huntingbigun to wrapped in the 280AI.
If'n I was limited to one rifle I always said it would be the 280 or the AI.

I am going to use TTSX bullets in both my 6.5-06 and my 375 Ruger this year.

I see you are using a 6.5-06. I have one as well and wondered where you are getting properly head stamped brass.
