I am in the process of finding a smith local preferably to the pacific northwest. I am looking to have a late 60s Browning Broadway Trap shotgun of mine reblued. It is my understanding that this must be done in such a fashion that it does not effect the ribs solder. Any suggestions for a smith?

Thanks
James

talk to midwest gun works. They did a Browning A5 for me and no complaints. If not them, talk to Gordy and Sons in Houston. I dont think they will do it themselves but they can get it done for you. I have also used them to reblue, really a total restoration, of two guns and they deliver the goods. Good luck and let us know what you do. Cheers

Arts Gun Shop is the only shop I send Brownings to. They have numerous videos on YouTube showing their craft. Art used to work for Browning as a smith back jn the day.

IronHorse GunWorks in TN does great work on rebluing. Check out their Facebook page! They restored a browning shotgun that was in a house fire and made it look like new again. It was pretty impressive to say the least

The gunmaker who I trusted passed away several years ago, but the problem isn't unique to Browning Superposed. A lot of double rifles are soldered and a hot blue will melt the solder causing regulation problems.
