I would hold Pat on the tickets. Iran won’t continue to strike Qatar. If Saudi Arabia and Qatar ask trump for help. Iran will lose most of their oil production.

General Keane says Oil would be next up on the strike package. If Iran continues past one strike.

That base is way outside of Doha. Iran is not going to bomb Doha, their partner in their gas field. I suppose if I had a flight in the next day or two I would be looking for an alternative route and not thru the Gulf States.

Oil production and export, is a viable target, make them feel the hurt.
The mullahs (and ayatollahs) have orchestrated strikes in Lebanon in 1983 with the attack on the Marine Barracks that killed 241 Marines. Then attacks on the US Embassy and the embassy annex.

In my work in Beirut, I walked those sites of ruble. Impressionable on anyone.
My classmate from the small Catholic school on Opelousas, LA, signed up in the Marines as a Corpsman.
He had to go get the bodies of those marines in Beirut,
He was a changed man and not for good.

We should never underestimate our enemy.

Quatar is taking prudent precautions. Our Armed Forces will protect Quatar and our troops on base.

If they say it's safe next week, I will fly through Doha.
Our troops will handle the job.

It did not mention changing itineraries.

It’s about not going out in town with a U.S. passport. unfortunately Hezbollah and Hamas are both well established in Qatar.

Problem was that at the time we had no idea if it was going to last 15 minutes or 15 months.

I saw a air traffic flight pattern while it was happening and the only plane near Qatar airspace was a Qatar Airlines flight that was doing circles out in the Persian Gulf. All the other traffic was well away from Qatar.
