Punta Hornady Dgx 300 Grains For Buffalo (Query)

I only have DG experience with North Fork and Woodleigh and both performed well.
I must also confess to lack of experience shooting any DG with a caliber less than .400; Always .411 and .458 and no plans to play with smaller calibers.
Good hunting!

TBBC is great medicine for buff, shot mine with it. One shot.

Shot a Buffalo last month with this very round at 70 yards facing me. He jumped and then staggered 30 yards wend down and was almost gone when I put another between his shoulder blades. No issue at all and went down for the count way faster than most the stories I have heard with any of the other rounds. But its all up to your preference.
So they changed the bullet to a bonded core instead of whatever the old one was. I think that has solved some of the separation issues that have them a bad name early on.

Good Afternoon,
How firm are you on your Dakota 416? I am highly interested but looking at a few different guns currently.

Best,
BJ

What is the minimum you would take.

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
