On a totally different tack I see that liberal journalists are abandoning any pretence of objectivity and fairness and admitting they are biased activists. The likes of Lemon etc. They say Trump has caused it! Quite refreshing really because now you can fairly dismiss everything they say as biased rubbish and totally tune them out. So now the truth seeking public, whether republican or democrat, will go to the conservative networks for their news. The libs shoot themselves in the foot yet again - I love it!
Fox News is about the most unbiased and truthful. I wouldn't believe a thing any of the others spew out. They get caught in so many outright lies and try to cover up with another lie. Go figure.

I prefer to get my news from a variety of sources from across the political spectrum and globe, and then determine for myself what seems to be the most objective and accurate information. Limiting oneself to any one news source or only news sources with a particular political leaning leaves one blind to the truth and creates echo chambers that are contributing to why this country is increasingly moving apart.

I know a few yellow dog democrats whom I wouldn't call friends but we do exchange civil greetings now and then and they are appalled at how the party has changed since the Kennedys (and that family were no paragons of virtue). I suspect most of them voted for Trump. Even slick Willie understood the economy a lot better than this current clueless collection.

I don't watch CNN or any of the liberal media. Even BBC is galling. France24 is good and AlJazeera isn't bad. We dont get Fox live here, but I read the app. Unfortunately you still see the liberal snippets from CNN etc when Fox airs them to call them out.
The liberal media and biased journalism is dangerous, it not only stacks the dry tinder every day, but has the power to ignite it, it already has. Your 1st Amendment is a fine line, the question is where do you draw that line?

Will the counter culture from 50 years ago become the pushback to overreaching governments.

Considering the vaccine left him with temporarily paralysis in his arms and couldn’t play the guitar for a while. I can see why.

On the subject of media, Australia's SKY news is excellent and doesn't beat about the bush, quite the opposite to the ABC. A lot of the TV media just regurgitate the latest propaganda from the US left wing. Alas, most journalism is dead. The 1st Amendment is tottering on the brink of extinction when you look at social media censors like facebook youtube, twitter, wikipedia et al.

I thought that the 1st amendment was to protect the ability of journalists to tell the truth!
It seems to be more to protect their ability to lie and report their personal beliefs with no regard for any semblance of the truth.
Here in Canacuba the media (CBC) is owned by the government, so they spin all things libiturd, so disgusting!

I would suggest that there is very little value in watching/listening to agitprop, which is all the MSM is. What is really sad is the left has been doing this with the press for a century. Consider Pulitzer-prize winning NY Slimes liar Walter Duranty. Totally lied his effing arse off about what was going on in the USSR, specifically Ukraine. For what possible purpose? Hitler? Hitler hadn't even become chancellor when Holodomor was going on, or only just had.

Every time I think about Duranty or the other Marxist liar Walter Cronkite, it makes me so mad I want to dig them out of their graves and beat them over their skulls with their shin bones.

If you are familiar with the Gell-Mann amnesia effect, you will understand how terrible even honest reporting is most of the time. And most "reporting" cannot even be remotely associated with honesty or integrity.

It's not journalism, it's sick editorials. Some ass who is so far left he's barely peeking over the left field fence --at the foul line.

What's this kid's blood comment and where did it come from?
That is one of the things alleged to have happened on porn island.

Americans' optimism about country's direction over next year drops nearly 20 points since May.

As President Joe Biden completed 100 days in office, the country was optimistic about the coming year, but now, just after hitting the six-month mark, Americans' optimism about the direction of the country has plummeted nearly 20 points, a new ABC News/Ipsos poll finds.

A majority -- 55% -- of the public say they are pessimistic about the direction of the country, a marked change from the roughly one-third (36%) that said the same in an ABC News/Ipsos poll published May 2. In the early May survey, Americans were more optimistic than pessimistic by a 28-percentage point margin. Optimism is now under water by 10 points. Looking ahead to the next 12 months, fewer than half -- 45% -- now report feeling optimistic about the way things are going, a significant drop from about two-thirds (64%) in the May poll.

The decline in optimism has occurred across the board among Democrats, Republicans and independents.

Hopefully the midterms next year will bring a big change and flush out a lot of congressional sewer sludge.

Just hope the damage to the economy and society as a whole is blocked or limited by the common sense of intelligent members of both parties before it is too late the next sixteen to eighteen months out of control politicians can do a lot of damage if they are not held in check…this immigration open border situation is salting the Covid virus throughout the country with transporting of illegals to every corner of the nation.
