I’m not opposed to data centers but am definitely opposed to wind and solar farms after seeing what they do to ranches that were previously hunted and after learning about what a joke they are environmentally. Black, not green. I would rather have oil/gas wells on my ranch now that directional drilling puts several wells on just one pad.

And what "wars" did he end again?...None. The war in the Ukraine is still raging on, and he started one with Iran. And yet Donny's still confused as to why no Peace Prize. Obama ended GW Bush and the Republican Neo-Cons unnecessary, politically correct, war of choice in Iraq, along with most combat operations in Afghanistan. And Biden finally pulled us out of Bush's forever war in Afghanistan. That's what ending wars actually looks like.

On the plus side for us, and most Americans, he's not actually getting anything meaningful done. Create a crisis and then solve it, the old Potomac two step revived.
The point was that NIMBYs know no political allegiance, they come in all shapes and sizes. And also that you can't be bothered by data center NIMBYs when one is a NIMBY themselves, but for renewable energy installations.
I’m not sure whether I should answer a question with such an obvious answer….maybe I’m missing your point. Population growth slowed significantly during WWI across the globe. Better than 18% of Canadian men (~600,000) were in the Armed Forces. That’s a significant percentage of potential fathers no longer around. Combined with a KIA total of 66,000……that’s a bunch more not contributing to the birth rate permanently. Oh, and about 50,000 Canadians died of influenza during the same period of history.
