@Red Leg Me as well. I visit the battlefield every chance i get. Two places I always visit: Califf’s battery attached to Brig Gen John Buford and their position overlooking the road (I always have to touch gun #1 that made the opening shot to adjust from on Day1). And the Trostle farm as previously mentioned. I love that the parks service has even to this day preserved the cannon shell hole in the Trostle barn.

I spent 3 years of my life running in circles that had me in the presence of a POTUS and most of the major cabinet members at that time regularly. I’ve got a pretty good handle on politics at the highest level and how public vs private personas can differ..

I also know a variety of people that have spent time on every POTUS protection detail from Clinton forward. There’s little doubt in my mind about who the ones that are/were decent people vs the ones that are genuine shit bags of humans.

Dickish behavior whether genuine or put on for show is an indicator of being a dick. On more than one occasion Trump has been caught with a hot mic exhibiting dickish behavior, so all of it clearly isn’t just for show.

That said if what you’re getting at is that he treats his staff well, by all accounts that’s very likely true. I’ve heard from Marines at VMX-1 and USAF personnel at the 89th (both of those organizations directly service the White House) thst Trump treats military line personnel exceptionally well. I’ve also been told by USSS personnel that he has been highly respectful and kind to his assigned team. Melania is supposed to be an absolute angel to be around as well.

None of that however discounts being a dick to others, often for no apparent reason than he can be.

His reputation as a business leader spans more than 50 years.. his treatment of low level and mid level staff exceptionally well is well documented… him being an absolute ass with senior leaders both internal and external to his firm is also well documented…

Don’t read any of this wrong… at the most senior levels being a dick often is necessary… I run a mid market firm that works directly with the federal government… I’m pretty sure most of the senior leaders that work for me believe I can be an outrageously big dick at times… while at other times they likely think I’m a good guy…

Steve Jobs was known for a dynamic personality and was loved by many…

It’s also well documented that he was at the same time a huge dick to others… Kevin O’Leary in particular has gone on the record stating that jobs was a brilliant leader and brilliant innovator and beloved by staff…but a terrible monster and horrible human…

Both can and often are found in the same person..

His career might have been over prior to the protest and he just decided to go out in a blaze of glory. He was a non-rated officer in the AF and was a Major with 17 years. His peers were probably Lt/Cols. As a passed over Major, he was not guaranteed to get to 20 years and a pension.

So you have personally heard it none. Just heard it from 2 articles that are over 6 years old in which the one sheriff says they have given it to someone over 20 times.

You original quote was how many times you have heard cops boasting about not carrying it.

I posted multiple articles, covering several counties, if you want to learn how to use google, you can find more. I never said that I personally, in person, heard police say it. I try to avoid the highway robbery men as much as possible. I have seen several news interviews over the past 10 years in which numerous police have said they wont carry it, or use it, for various reasons. That was also one of several different examples which I listed in my post, specifically related to healthcare. But you have yet to even attempt to refute any of the other ones. Interesting...

It’s prison, not the Hilton. That said, Texas is starting to A/C some prisons. Rather old news about no A/C. While granted it did take a federal lawsuit to get the A/C. Prisons in Texas have never been Club Fed.

The folks who have been it time out before, generally want to stay in jail for as long possible particularly in the summer, but they will catch that chain sooner or later.

You understand there is a difference between "club fed" and cooking someone alive in a metal prison cell right? Besides, the point was to knock some folks on here off of their high horse about Europe and AC usage. People die all the time in America from a lack of AC availability. Perhaps they should get their own state and country in order first before complaining about the very same thing happening in Europe?
