However, the political forum is primarily frequented by right-wing extremists who are free to write and post whatever they want, no matter how crude and tasteless. It seems to be almost entirely a Republican forum.

It's striking that both the owner and the moderators only intervene when someone posts something anti-Trump. This suggests that they, too, are adhering to the Republican line. AH wants to promote right-wing ideology; otherwise, why would the political forum exist?

I sincerely wish the political forum would disappear completely, because then AH would be the best forum around.

If we may look at the root cause a bit, many people on a hunting forum are gun owners and unfortunately in the polarized world of US politics this tends to make them more Republican since they believe in gun ownership.

Also there is a correlation between those that who can afford to go to hunt Africa and a general dislike of taxes. A dislike of taxes seems to be more of a republican talking point, though there has been some action.

Though probably deleted, two of the members who were very liberal and anti Trump, they also made Antisemitic comments, so it wasnt their Anti-Trump stances that got them kicked off but rather their abhorrent behavior.

But unless you are posting from the UK please feel free to post any nonsense that you want, right wing or left wing, most of us are big fans of free speech (if you are in the UK, dont want to see you thrown in jail for a meme).

Hope you can enjoy the forum, knowing that this one thread amongst 1000s exists.

AH allows political debates because feckless governmental action at home and in African nations seriously impacts hunting, the future of hunting, regulations & requirements, and trophy importation. I strongly suspect that you would be happy as a toad frog full of moths if the main direction was LIBERAL. Sorry for the lack of confirmation bias in that regard, lol.
We debate because we are seeing, in real time, the abuse of the right to bear arms, hunt, and even defend ourselves, loved ones and property.
If you would like to be really internally consistent as a liberal, change one letter of your name--the KKK was a democrat run operation, after all.

I find it curious that every media outlet is talking about it.. but literally no one has any actual evidence of it..

not a single news source managed to capture a screen shot?

even the source video that he supposedly forwarded/shared isnt available anywhere on the internet?

they can tell you everything about it.. its 62 seconds long.. that it is based on lion king characters.. that Joe Biden is depicted as an ape eating a banana.. etc..

but not a single screen shot.. not a single copy of the video.. not a single shred of actual evidence is available that it exists..

Considering that in my 30+ years of hunting I have spent a combination of 4 days hunting BLM land, I am going to say that this would have little to no impact on me.

However, Residents allocating less tags for Non-Residents has had a major impact on my dream hunts.

Now in a different hunting forum those same Residents told me too bad, they are our animals, were wanting me to write my congressman and asked them to stop it because they could lose their hunting lands.

Surely, there are a lot worse Republican ideas than that one. Like capping credit card interest, stopping corporations from buying single family homes, stopping tax dollars for Ukraine, etc.

Completely agree, and hope I did not come off as "mega can do no wrong". I oppose Sen, Lee's amendment. We need to preserve all the public hunting land we can. I am a Christian and a constitutional conservative in that order. Sad how money/politics corrupt. At the same time, I am far from overlooking flaws on the left, some of which are weird and wild!
If the left wants to beat mega fair and square, maybe they should do what the liberals in Denmark did--they beat the conservatives at their own game, loving their country, reforming immigration to the most conservative standards in Western Europe, etc. They finally LISTENED to the conservatives' issues, took them on and made the conservatives redundant! If the Democrats did that, more power to them. However it seems like the party direction is to the loony extreme. Good luck quoting scripture on affirming gay agenda, transvestitism, child sex changes, corruption in every nook and cranny, socialism, woke DEI junk ad nauseam, etc, etc. I cannot pull that off, personally.

As everyone knows refinery capacity is the issue. nobody wants a refinery in their back yard. , and usually Democrats will not permit them.

Why don’t we build refineries in a nation that won’t delay them for years. I know we import refined oil.

And shockingly. The U.S. Still imports refined Russian oil. Indirectly from other nations.

This isn’t a surprise to anyone in the industry. This is not an issue of refining capacity, it is an issue of refining configuration. We have limited heavy oil conversion capacity. These refineries cost 2.5 to 3x more than refineries configured for something like WTS. Converting a refinery from a WTS diet to a heavy oil diet takes 2 to 3 years and a lot of cash (billion+).


Perhaps someone should have checked with the industry.

Just stop watching the NFL, cancel subscriptions, stop watching ESPN, stop buying their merchandise, stop worrying about their stats. Imagine if all "Conservative" boomer aged people did the same, seems like there's more of you guys still paying attention to this stuff than anyone I know. It's slop.

It's anecdotal, but I'm an older millennial, I'm pretty right wing, nobody I know cares that much at all about the NFL. Same with the dudes I know that are younger than me. Realistically it's almost looked at as lame if you're really into watching sports in the circles I run in. To be honest last week I though the game was that weekend, not this weekend, I couldn't tell you which teams are in it, let alone who plays on either team. I'm not even sure I know where it is (San Francisco?).

Make this the year you stop giving them your time. Instead of watching the game and the leadup all day and being upset that "the NFL doesn't like Conservatives like me", just do right wing stuff this Sunday instead....

Same lack of forethought behind Trump's aluminum tarrif. Did anyone bother to talk to those involved in the industry? Most of America's aluminum plants shut down and dismantled decades ago. No ore in North America and no more cheap electricity thanks to Regan's deregulation. So who would invest in building new aluminum reduction plants betting on the tariff surviving Supreme Court challenge or even to the end of Trump's term? The guy's MAGA plan clearly lacks continuity.

Among our more "conservative" Europeans friends.. when compared to US politics, they are generally on their best day a moderate by US standards.. the left leaning European members tend to be VERY far left leaning by American standards..

I think it is the other way around. Not to delve too deep into it but from the view of European conservatives (not the classic liberals) the whole American project, the founding etc. is based on liberalism. This is no jab to my fellow conservatives in America. What mainstream media mostly calls conservatives in Europe are classic liberals , the same in America.

The French Revolution etc is the beginning of the concept of democracy spreading more rapidly across Europe. Same time, a little bit later than the founding of America and partially inspired by it.
The notion of divine kingship, monarchies, is replaced and the rule of the masses a, liberal idea, is the new order.

Just food for thought; Evola calls communism and democracy two sides from the same coin. Communism being the end of the line following power for the masses, a logical conclusion Evola says following democracy.
