Change the name of the organization to National Immigration and Customs Enforcement. The left wing nut jobs will have to call them NICE agents.

I'll agree that most are good. But...

A long time ago, I was TDY at Ft. Benning, my lodging at McVeigh Hall was across the way from the MP Garrison office. One night, around 2300, probably shift change for them I heard a car pull up out in the lot. Don't know why I looked out the window, but I did. Here's what I saw. MP approaches the clearing barrel outside their office. He drops his magazine, racks the slide, collects the round that was in the chamber, thumbs it back into the magazine, re-inserts the magazine into the weapon, drops the slide, points the weapon into the clearing barrel, and yup, squeezes the trigger. He was extremely surprised when the round he just re-loaded into the weapon functioned. Just stood there for a moment. Then he repeated his exact steps, with the same outcome. This time a couple of MP's came out of the office to assist him with basic firearm knowledge and safety.

Needless to say, I was on the floor laughing after seeing this!
I believe it :) :) Should have yelled out the window, “Rookie!” The bunch I worked with were a more senior group under a provost marshal who ran a very tight ship. The ones you had to watch out for were some of the DOD guards- yikes!

Comments from our Texans. Was this expected?

I had a friend that’s in that district, he disnkitbeven know there was an election. The R spent nothing, has no signs, mailers, etc.

He believes it’s an outlier. He also said he still has snow and ice in his yard. Usually weather is not a factor for R’s, but it does not snow in Texas in November.

Yup, the DoD guys were as bad or worse than the AF SP's. I can't count the number of times I've seen them drop their sidearm or M16. They really needed 3 hands!

I was kinda afraid if I yelled anything, that he'd shoot himself in the foot!

We had contract security, they were really good, and professional. A lot came from within the organization, when they retired, so they stayed in the family.

Some years ago a Newport Beach cop wanted to unload my handgun. He racked the weapon to eject the round, and then removed the magazine. I had to tell him he had just loaded a round into the chamber.

From the video it clearly looks like Ms Good was trying to avoid hitting the goon. She had purposely turned the wheels AWAY from him. The intent required for assault is not evident. Simply refusing to obey an order is not a shootable offense. Period. And I didn't see her laying rubber as she pulled away either. Indeed, if she had not been going slowly, it's doubtful the shithead could have shot her three (possibly four!) times. And he clearly placed himself in harms way, like he did a few days earlier when he broke out the rear window of the vehicle and hung on when it drove off at high speed. Assault with a weapon is a HUGE stretch.
Do you think he could see the direction of the wheels? Easy to watch a video as an armchair quarterback.

I can hear on the videos how fast the rounds were fired. By the time the goon fired into her open window into the side of her head he was no longer in danger. And neither was anyone else. So who was more "reckless"? The paramilitary goon with a gun or the woman who was scared and trying to get away in her car? The woman who clearly did her best to avoid hitting him. Did he fire a warning shot? No. Did he shoot the car to disable it? No. But he could have. He was shooting to kill in a neighborhood full of houses and people. For what? For this? Come on. And you really think the lady was the reckless one? Man, THAT is a stretch. Her recklessness (if any) pales in comparison to that CITES agent's.
The Courts have ruled that officers are allowed to keep shooting until the original threat is removed.

100% it has. Frankly, it's one of his greatest failures.

He's far more interested in putting on that show than achieving results. We see it with this ICE stuff, with tariffs, with geopolitical relations with NATO, with Iran, with his efforts to manage affordability, with every single thing he's attempted to do this term.

Maximum exposure, maximum push back, maximum 'owning the libs' to the amusement of MAGAland, but ultimately political suicide, whilst yielding minimal results.

This ICE stuff is probably the easiest example.

This is a policy that's generally popular amongst a lot of Americans. Reduce illegal immigration. Managed well, it'd be a real feather in the administrations cap for a lot of voters.

But so far he's not achieved anything out of the ordinary on the meat and potatoes of the issue.

He's managed to deport around 250,000 people in year 1 of his term and stopped another approx 350,000 at the border, which is functionally identical to what Biden was trending at as well.

(A lefty source of course, but nicely summarized, and the numbers do check out - I did my due diligence).

For perspective, Biden managed 1.1million deportations and 3 million border expulsions in his 4 year term, Trump 1 managed 1.5mn last time. Obama managed over 5 million.

No substantive change in results. Pretty much the same numbers delivered as has been every year of the last decade. Lots and lots of noise, but the numbers don't lie... even if he does meet his lofty election claims, he'd still be less effective on this issue than Obama.

Yet because he's done it in the most public and inept way possible, now the electorate is really upset about it... and it'll probably lose him at least the house in the midterms.

Another triumph of 'publicity as the end goal' and incompetence over delivering results. Great job.

Tariffs are more of the same, this NATO nonsense is more of the same, his meddling with central bank policy, his efforts towards affordability. Nothing is moving the needle in reality, but there's plenty of stuff that makes him look incredibly incompetent, and he's making damn sure that everyone is aware of all of it.

Ironically the only dirty laundry he hasn't aired publicly, is the one piece of it that'd actually be popular with the electorate to do so; the Epstein files.
Agreed but Biden was letting millions in at the same time so the net results are quite different.

I guess the question remains: what kind of threat was Ms Good as she attempted to drive around that ICE thug? A threat to who? There were no other ICE agents in front of her vehicle. She hadn't driven far enough or fast enough to be considered a further public threat to anyone. There is the basic rule of "necessary force" relative to the "crime" committed. Cops can't shoot shoplifters. She MAY have bumped the guy but clearly not with enough force to knock him off his feet or even away from the vehicle. I very much doubt he sustained a scratch. For that he shot her point blank in the head through the car window ... after hitting her three times. And what about his earlier supercop incident breaking a car window and hanging on as it drives off. I guess that's normal police behavior? No, that's crazy behavior. The guy should have been taken out of service at that point.
Did he know exactly what she was thinking? No.

I believe it, I never understood why some people think that just because a person is a (insert military/LEO) that they are competent with various weapons.

From a hunting/shooting standpoint I can honestly say that the worst firearm handling I’ve seen in the field were from military/LEO people.

As part of the Epstein files being posted, his last interview came out as well. He was being interviewed at length by Steve Bannon.

I had the pleasure of working in financial services on and off for 35 years. I've met morons, I've met geniuses. My observation by hanging on Epstein's every word is that he knew very little about finances. More specifically, I'm more confident than ever that he and his handlers were running a honeypot or influence peddling, because the world certainly wasn't getting financial brilliance from this man's mouth. Worth a listen, judge for yourself.

I am not a fan of the U.N.

But this reeks of such a monumental level of hubris. The major allies in Europe have all said "NoPe". The fact Russia was invited is utterly bewildering and would make it a complete non-starter for me. (Russia? Board of Peace? Really? That's like inviting Jeffrey Dahmer to join a council on mentoring teenage boys.)

Gentlemen,

Regarding the seven Like through Dislike icons users can assign to each post, I would love one more,
a WTF icon...

I do place wastes of time, pot stirers, and oxygen thieves on Ignor but I ofter have to open their posts to learn why others are being driven crazy :)

I've always thought a face palm and vomit emoji would be highly useful.

Just like the U.N., it would end up being a waste of money and oxygen.

I thought this meme of the subject was quite funny.

It is certainly the most ridiculous, narcissistic thing I have seen in a long time!

Saw your post. Nice. Denver too. Genesee area (just off 70) if ever up this way. Alternatively, do you have a membership at GGC? Whatever, you'll have a wonderful time in Africa. Enjoy.
