Poland Hunts?

Considering a family trip to Poland, and I have started to price outfitters for stag, roebuck, and/or fallow. Most of these prices are shockingly low compared to the rest of the world. Any specific reason why? I’m worried it’s a “you get what you pay for” experience, but I also understand that Poland is a fairly cheap country compared to the US or the rest of Europe. Any outfitters you would suggest? Thanks

I noticed that my red stag hunt in France was dirt cheap compared to NZ, I’ll be following this thread as well, Poland is on my list

One outfit had a hunt that was any size wild stag, a red hind, and a wild boar for €2400. I’ve seen people charging more than that for a turkey hunt in the states.

Doesn’t France have a 20+% VAT tax? Or is that Spain? Be sure to factor that in.

Every country in Europe has a 20-25% VAT. You need to clarify if prices include it or not.

I really enjoyed my 3 hunts in Poland. The areas with genetics for big stags or big roe deer can be expensive, but the areas with representative trophies are really reasonably priced. I only hunted with one club. They only had something like 12 active members and a difficult time getting new members. They are required to take their full quota every year. They got 45 roe bucks each year and sold some to non-resident hunters as a way to generate income for their club to pay for food plots and crop damage. It was very non-commercial. Most members were there for the small game and meat hunting in winter. Most of Central Europe is really fairly priced. I think it’s similar situation. Large quotas and relatively few local hunters because the governments haven’t made it easy to become a licensed hunter.

On something like this for me, trophy quality is irrelevant. Would honestly shoot a raghorn or the equivalent. More just an experience thing.

I'm pretty sure I will be hunting roebuck in Poland some time in the next few years. Wife wants to go there and the prices I see are very affordable. Likewise, I'm interested in the experience rather than trophy size.

My grandparents visited back in the 80s or 90s during the hyper inflation and they always talked about it how poor it was. Their homeland. But I've heard many great things. Would love to visit

Poland seems a really prosperous country now. A lot of new houses getting built and businesses expanding. I was really impressed what nice flower gardens every house seemed to have.

I dont wish to hijack the thread but Hungary is fabulous value especialy for bow hunters and there are some very big stags out there.

I hunted Poland a probably about 8 years ago (?) LOVED IT! Roe season opens in July and that's when I was in Europe so I worked a hunt in.
Ours was 5 Roe Deer and unlimited Boar (I never saw a pig- my son did but no shot).

I saw some Red and Fallow but they were not in season.
