The media loves to hack at hunters for killing "iconic" species and no one goes after the nameless poachers who are doing the damage.
Hunters are an easy target. No pun intended.

You know the latest lucky hunter getting an absolute monster was vilified in the Media.

This photo from a NG Article on poaching Elephant. This photo was taken involved one of the worst, at the time, poaching incidents on record.

LEGAL HUNTERS NUMBERS
(Only the CITES export quota.)
So these are the Maximum number of legally hunted Elephants for export. No PAC critters.

There are only 8 countries with quota in this period.

2010 35 listings - 3080
2011 35 listings 3200
2012 34 listings 3200

Grand total: 9480

8.6% of the Elephants taken during that three year period can be attributed to Hunters.

Apparently hunting is not the problem.

If the western public is conserned, as they should be to this, why do not organizations as WWF, UN, etc. contribute gross sums of dollars to anti-poaching work...??

Sadly its nothing but empty words coming from them....

They're too busy fattening their own pockets while making no differentiation between legal hunters and poachers. The UN is the BIGGEST Freaking joke of an organization there is, right next to peta. They sit on their asses, waving their fingers while allowing atrocities occur, saying "we'll put sanctions on you, so you better stop." worthless bunch of yahoos.

Well, we can differentiate with this data.

I think it's a great presentation.

But when I look at how brainwashed people are there is little hope. In the last year there were 3 popular stories that got major attention: the Confederate flag, Cecil the lion and now Paris. I see so many dumb and stupid statements attached to these stories. Facts are not even taken into consideration. It's all emotional BS, with people getting wrapped up in stuff that will not change anything.....and in some cases make it worse.

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
