I used to catch them in South Florida. Not as big as the Amazon cousins, but fun to catch. :)
 
Nice job Erik! Caught a ton of them in Gatun Lake in Panama. IIRC, I used an all yellow bucktail on a spinning rod. Launched out of Gamboa, great action!

Like I commented, my classic stainless has the original 24” barrel.

Did you buy yours with the barrel already cut down to 21” or did you do it (or a gunsmith)?
