Peacock Bass in the Amazon

Everything was released with the exception of a few piranha that the guides kept to eat. They like piranha!
Ahh so there are “Man Eating Piranha” down there !

Thank you, that’s interesting.

You would never believe the amount in those waters. They are far from the scariest thing swimming in there though.

The rays are really bad down there. Lots of folks get stung after stepping on them.

Thanks for the report, good pics too!

I did an Amazon trip in 2018; centered around multiple species including peacock bass.

Did a seasonal lodge with chalets that slept 2 each, kitchen, dining area on the water; very similar to any safari camp.

I’d preface it by saying I’m not really a die hard fisherman. I enjoy being on the water and if I catch a few things, see some wildlife, cool birds I’m pretty happy. More the adventure of it then results (I’m same in hunting, but I seem to get lucky, part of that is shopping for the right opportunities)

It far exceeded my expectations in every way. HIGHLY recommended if anyone is thinking of going.

I did over Thanksgiving when the temps aren’t as hot nor the humidity as high before the heavy rains start.

Looks like a wonderful time.
Those are some beautiful fish.
Thx for sharing the photos

Jake, Sorry to bug you again. I was wondering if you could share a. couple actual pics of this crossbow with me?

Xpedition Archery USED Scrapeline390X Sniper Gray Crossbow XACW1001 - Light Wear - Needs Bolt/Arrow Guide Spring UA5689

If it is in a decent shape, would you be willing to sell it for $100 shipped? IS it missing the retention spring that goes over the bolt?
Thank you Ferenc

Good morning John, I just read your setup procedure for the northstar duplicator ator. I found it very hand and I did learn some things. I have the same machine and I am having a problem i can not figure out and was hoping you could shed some light on the subject.
