Hats of to Pete at Quality Cartridge and Graf & Sons! Have 2 rifles in 338-06 a-square and now having one built in 338-06 AI ( yeah, I know but something different Will post case capacity comparison tomorrow.

I have a backcountry hunting rifle Melvin Forbes with NULA built for me a couple years before he passed in 338/06AI. It was by funny happenstance too, as I was on the fence between the standard chamber or AI and a tiny little local shop here was closing and I stopped in to look through his totes of old ammo and reloading supplies.

Right there in the first tote I came across a brand new set of RCBS custom 338/06AI dies…$35. Took it as a sign it was meant to be.

I have brass I’ve formed from 338/06 headstamped brass, but really like the ones formed from 30/06 Lapua brass.
