Night Hunting

What type of game can be hunted at night in SA other than bushpig and leopard? I am headed to the Limpopo Province in July.

Various species of small cat including; African Wild, Caracal, Serval and Genet. Bushbuck are often hunted at night as well.

Thanks for the response - are these animals baited or are varmit calls used? Any info on bushbuck hunting at night would be appreciated.

From my experiences these animals are generally "animals of opportunity." Your PH will know where specific species are most likely to be found in a certain area during night time hours. Just let your PH know what you might be species you might be interested in several months in advance to ensure that it does not require additional governmental permits.

Kelly....... Never said I wanted to hunt bushbuck at night. Althought from previous thread it was said that bushbuck are often hunted at night.
