Scott at Jerrett Rifles just sent a few pics to show the progress of my .450 Rigby build. The barrel is still in the white, and the sights have yet to be installed, but the stock is looking spectacular.

This is the CZ550 action that I purchased from member @krish just over a year ago, so he's sort of the proud Grandpapa of this rifle. I'm still tempted to buy the CZ factory .450 Rigby he has stuffed somewhere in the back of his safe, but this one will do for now.

That looks very beautiful. Congratulations.

Beautiful! Well executed on all fronts. The .450R has quickly become one of my favorites even though mine has not spilled blood yet.

Very nice. Did Scott do the stock from scratch as well?
I haven't asked who did the wood. I know Cain Jerrett does all the barrel work.

One thing I am short of on this rifle is .458 dia 500 grain Swift A-Frames. I do have plenty of Barnes X, but I'd prefer to try both in this rifle, IF I can ever find a couple boxes. I'd be willing to bet one of you beady eyed boys on this forum scarfed up all the goodies at the Swift Bullets booth early Wednesday at the SCI.

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .

I have quite a bit of 458 win mag brass, most of it new. How much are you looking for?
