I saw this site and thought I would say "Hi!" It appears well organized and reflects a LOT of work!

I am leaving this weekend to go to South Africa for my 2nd hunt with ct-safaris out of Ellisras, Limpopo, South Africa. Chris Troskie and I will be hunting cape buffalo near Malelane, Mpumalango outside of Kuger Park then plains game near Ellisras(Lehalale), Limpopo, then more plains game in the Tuli Block of Botswana! I hunted with them in Limpopo and KwaZuluNatal for plains game last year and got a really nice blue wildebeest and nyala and good zebra, impala, waterbuck and blesbok. We saw a lot of animals and a really wonderful country with hospitable people! Sabina, Chris' wife, is an excellent cook and they are great hunting and travel companions! My wife and I had a wonderful adventure and a successful hunt and are very excited to be going back!

Hi jpj3! Thanks for the kind words, it was a lot of work but well worth it... we have a growing community with lots of great people. Hope to hear back from you when you return as we all enjoy hearing about and seeing pictures from those who have just returned from doing what we are all addicted to! We need our fix? Check out this post "Africa is a drug" I am sure you can relate to it.

Hello jpj3, this is a great site with a lot of useful information and some of the nicest and helpful people. Next to Africa, Wyoming is my favorite place to hunt and fish. I am not sure how many times I have hunted there but it is at least a dozen times. Hope your buffalo hunt goes well. Jim

Thanks for the welcome! I will be happy to summarize my trip. I will have to learn to post pictures when I'm back!

jpj3, Bon Voyage! Oh, I am so envious, but I still hope you have an amazing safari. Be sure to check in when you return and as Jerome said, "give us our fix":o!

Have a safe trip and great hunt. I hope to go later this year or 2010.

I am checking out Namibia and Zim for a PG hunt. I have never been and I ain't gettin any younger!

Enjoy your adventure!!!

Sounds like you are going to have a great time and are another victim of african fever. All the best on your next outing and share some photos when you can. Beware bwana, with each hunt, you tend to want something bigger and bolder and before you know it, you are in the tall grass on the trail of something as big as your truck... You will enjoy it immensely

Sir, I will gladly take that 16 gauge off your hands. I was waiting for your Winchesters but I'm a sucker for a 16 ga.

I bought a great deal of the brass he had for sale, plus I already had many hundred rounds.

How much brass are you looking for?
