Just thought I would share some pics of the bucks I have shot in New Jersey. There is one exception, a Kansas muzzle loader buck.
You should get those scored and entered into the sci record book.Yes it is. The only one that is not NJ is the one where I have the Real tree camo and cheap orange vest on. That was a "small" buck from my Kansas trip, the big ones eluded me.
Jersey has some great deer. I see people that shoot much better than me over on NJ WoodsandWater forum.
Nice bucks. I think a lot of people would be surprised at the quality of deer in the Northeast. The bucks next to my house in eastern Long Island are massive. They live in the dunes next to the ocean, and are said to eat crabs and other seafood, which explains why they are so big. The turkeys out there are as big as VWs. No hunting pressure, however, but the neighbors are nuts and would freak out if a deer ran and died on their property.
I haven't seen any news, but that house is a summer house for us. I do think you can bow hunt on Eastern Long Island, where we are, but neighbors are a big problem. Almost everyone we know out there is anti-hunting, and even though I have had a compound bow at the house, I have never taken a deer. If one of those bucks ran and died on a neighbor's property, a thousand Karens would assemble in a flash mob, and at least half of them would commence some type of litigation or political pressure play.LINY has a very, very interesting "deer problem." Did I read right recently that they may allow bowhunting?
