Morning all,
Recently purchased this Type A in 9.3 x62 and noticed the stock has a mottled appearance from storage-mould maybe?
Any suggestions from the gurus on what I can use to treat it and keep original finish?
FYI when I use Ballistol and wipe stock it comes up great! But reappears when dry.
Cheers Alby.

Carefully sand with 1000 grit sandpaper--not removing much of the original finish and then top the finish off with a hand rubbed solution of your choice (oil based).

Thanks for the replies gents, yes a lovely rifle very light and handy. Will give the 0000 steel wool and oil a try…

Not sure your price range. Have a 375 H&H with a muzzle brake. Nice rifle only fired a few times. Also a Mossberg 375 Ruger its been used and shows a few hunts on it.
