Lost a Holland & Holland at Holts, decided to build my own

Are you doing the work yourself?
I like these step by step updates!

We put alot of effort in to making the stock to my personal measurements.

Thank you!
That is the plan.l was also building this rifle with quite a tight schedule with a special hunt in mind.
I must say that my gunsmith was just as committed and realy worked hard to make it happend.

I is going to be a stock takedown for easier travel.
@Henrik
It takes a special gunsmith to do the interrupted thread and get everything to line up and lock up tight and retain the headspace.
Difficult yes, worth it DEFINITELY, looks good MY BLOODY OATH.
Best of luck with your build.

Thank you for the advice. We will be very carefull with the layout, the ide' of this build is a strong "working rifle"
@Henrik
If it is a problem a reinforce bolt through the wrist will cure that problem and a nice engraved metal grip cap will hide it.

I was considering that for a while, a true take down. But we are trying to copy the 1920 Holland and Holland as much as possible so we decided to go this way insted.
But the true take down is very tempting,maby in the future.

Hello Henrik,

Nice set up! Good looking rifle to be used. Seems very practical.
Can you show how the action was lenghtened inside for the .375 H&H?
Thank you and congrats !

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
