Anyone have any trips or tips on a decent priced combo to Zim? Not looking for the next record maybe something in the 35 lb range or so, not even that concerned if it exportable or not. Been looking at the PAC hunts but seems like you are required to harvest the first elephant seen whether that a cow or broken up bull. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Thank you folks very much for the info provided within only a few hours.

Good day

I own and operate the Omay north and south, 2 million acres in the Zambezi valley ( northern Zimbabwe ), I am pretty sure I can offer you a suitable elephant hunt, drop me an email through my website Martin Pieters Safaris :: Omay Zimbabwe Safaris and we can look at various options

Regards
Martin

I have worked with Juan Pace of Shangwari Safaris for quite some time, he is an upstanding PH and Outfitter and will work hard to get you the best possible hunt, whether it be in South Africa, Zimbabwe or Mozambique, all of which are fantastic areas in their own right. Do yourself a favour and get in touch with him at:

Question for those in the "loop", I understand that PAC ele can't be exported but is there any such hunt that you can target only tusked ele that fall under PAC regulations?? Thanks to all for the references and info thus far. Startin to chomp at the bit to get over and live what I have been hearing about.

Hi B&C

I cant tell you much about the PAC Elephant that are sold as hunts...personally I don't agree with it, If you happen to be on a hunt where you are lucky enough to get the opportunity to hunt or shoot a PAC Elephant then that is a different story. I have had 3 clients in the past two years that have shot PAC Elephants whilst on safari.

PAC Elephants are not exportable, The Hide and Ivory is handed back to the council and they will sell the hide and the Ivory will be auctioned by National Parks, and the money from the Ivory "might" be handed back to the council. This you may know buy now, All the PAC Elephant that I have shot have had Ivory, it is just the age and sex that has varied. Bulls are less likely to be tuskless.

If you decide or find some one to take you on a PAC Elephant hunt......Please check and make sure it is legal as there is a lot of bogus hunts going around.

But if I were you....I would look into doing a Trophy Elephant hunt where you can enjoy your Ivory back in you own home, There are also a few good deals going on at the moment!

Hope the info was useful,
Quinn

Marty has good options for you.
Buff would be best latter in the season with Ele early. Alternately Buff/ Tuskless in September would be a good option limo.
