Hi All!

Does anyone have experience purchasing Liability Insurance for their safari? My outfitter indicates it could be asked for when going thru customs. Any help would be appreciated.

Where are you hunting? Any necessary Insurance should be arranged by the outfitter. US Customs will not be asking.

Cameroon. This is from the outfitter:

Make sure to have liability insurance and repatriation with you. You may be asked to show it

That would be a policy like Global Rescue or Ripcord. I’ve always bought Global Rescue. Easy to do on their website.

Global Rescue said they don't offer liability insurance.

Global rescue is repatriation insurance and medical transport insurance to get you to a qualified doctor. If you need to show insurance you can buy a travel accident policy for like $30 from a number of providers. I was not asked to show insurance for Cameroon in 2023. I think the word liability insurance may be a translation issue.

It appears that he's talking about either Global Rescue and Ripcord evacuation coverage, and not liability insurance. If he is really asking about liability coverage, in case you shoot someone or livestock or property damage. Your outfitter could obtain that for you. Your Homeowners Insurance may provide liability coverage worldwide for your negligence. But doubtful Cameroon would accept the coverage but you never know. I would ask him if he really means liability coverage.

He inadvertently is not using the terminology quite correctly.
They want to make sure you have insurance on you not because of you.
Ask him to clarify meaning a form of travel insurance, repatriation, etc health insurance even (that will pay internationally)…if something happens TO you. This came up recently on another forum

Need anything in trade?
Cheers,

what kind of velocity does the 140 grains list, curious how they would fit in with my current 130 gr, supply of 270s. maybe a pic of the box data listing vel. and drop. Oh and complements on that ammo belt, nice.
