So round it off for us. What is the approximate cost of this hunt? And what is your success ratio?

@johnnyblues ,

I hunted with Lin in Zim last year, the only other thing to consider would be the 4% trophy fee. In this case it works out to be $260. Figure 6 baits at $150 would be $900.

If I've done the math right, with 6 baits the total would be $20,990

What is his realistic success rate? I know you were unsuccessful last year but would you still recommend?

John,
I would absolutely recommend Lin! I cant answer on his success rate but he gets quite a few cats every year.

Another recommendation for Lindon from me. I got a nice cat a few years ago (7’11” & 170lbs.).The west Nicholson area has great genetics and Lindon definitely knows how to hunt leopard!!

Lin, what sort of success rate on cats?

Tempting hunt.

Very..Not this year for me though. Might have to keep it in the memory bank if my guy in Namibia doesn't get a tag.

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
