The other hunters – during the next few days the other hunters connected with their Ibex, one hunter was unsatisfied with his first Ibex and opted to hunt a second. He succeeded on the last day with a monster 49” Ibex. Final results was mine at 41”, one hunter got one at 46”, the hunter with 2 had one at 35” or so, and the monster 49” one. Needless to say, it was a wonderful experience for all of us.

All of the hunters agreed it was the hunt of a lifetime and the hardest hunt any of us had been on, (2 of the hunters had taken mountain goat and sheep previously) but the most satisfying.

The cape and horns are now with Dennis at Artistry of Wildlife, looking forward to getting the mount home.

I was browsing through some different posts when I came across this one. The hunt in Kyrgyzstan was an amazing experience. Just wanted to let you know that it was very enjoyable to experience that hunt with like hunters. Your an inspiration and I still hope your out doing what you love! That hunt was definitely a once in a lifetime experience!
Currently trying to stay warm in Wyoming with our 40-50 mile an hour winds and 20 below zero. I'm thinking Arizona might be a place for me...

Anthony,

Thanks for the kind comments and the photos, the three of us look a little like we had been there a while. I have been doing well, did a backpack hunt in Namibia last May for Mountain Zebra, it was great fun
Still looking for the next adventure, perhaps next year. This hunt that we shared was one of the bast on my list, enjoyed the experience and the company. Great outfitter and other hunters in camp. John

I’ve been there three years ago. Great adventure!

John what an adventure!! The first trip seems like it was a bit scary. Perseverance paid off for sure!! Is Dennis done with the mount yet??

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.
