Kreighoff Classic - My latest acquisition

First I must say you folks are a bad influence on me. And ain’t it great!

Yesterday I picked up this Krieghoff Classic in 500NE with Extractors built in 2000. It has a wood upgrade and the previous owner told me he had taller sights installed. Interesting thing is when I throw it up to my shoulder the sights are in perfect alignment with my eyes I say interesting because my other doubles have standard height sights and one lines up perfectly and the other nearly so.

The previous owner took an elephant in the Caprivi Strip with it.

It appears to have spent the remainder of its life standing in a gun cabinet or safe as the butt pad is compressed and deteriorated.

Nice double! The first double I shot, was a Kreighoff 500/416, and the second double a 30-06, a generous offer from a fellow shooter at a public range in South Carolina, practicing for his 9th safari.

I knew that I was handling a precision, tough tool.
I was hooked on doubles since then.

The K Receiver w/o any scrolling, I really love. They shoulder nice, slim, etc ..
