This is without a doubt the best .22 I have ever fired. It comes mounted with the fantastic Leupold VX2 3-9x33 Rimfire AO EFR scope. I have only fired 200-250 rounds through it in the years I have owned it, but with the cheap Wolf Match Extra ammo it is scary accurate. I'm pretty sure that's all I've ever shot through it but there was no reason to try anything else. I absolutely love this solid little gun, but bigger bores are my passion and get virtually all of my attention. I should also mention that I have 3 magazine clips which will go with this rifle. Finding those is quite a task these days!

This rifle is an early model with a few very minor blemishes that I have tried to capture in the photos. I do not have boxes for the scope or the rifle at this point, but am fanatical about protecting what I ship. I live in Southwest Missouri and am happy to meet face to face and subtract shipping costs.
Price...$2850

Pretty Model 57, very nice!

Oh my! That is stunning! Another: "if I had the money."

These are fantastic rifles of the highest quality. If you are a real rifleman, you should have a serious rimfire rifle like this one.

Of all the rifles I own my 57M is the one I would never sale. Accurate and a delight in the hands. Someone will get a great rifle. GLWS.

Let's drop the price on this beauty to $2700

Thanks for your understanding and yes they will, really excellent rifles.

One of the finest looking 22 rifles I ever saw!

There was a time when I would have been all over this. I love quality rimfires and have a number of them. Win 52's, Annie 54's, Remingtons and other custom gems that shoot so well that it is difficult to believe. This Cooper is a fine piece. Every safari hunter needs a fine rimfire as a training rifle to practice shooting off of sticks. That is a perishable skill and spending a few 100 rimfire rounds shooting tiny tgts at moderate ranges of 30-50y off sticks in the weeks leading up to each safari will pay big dividends when you arrive in the bush for real.

This Cooper is almost the same size and weight as a nice Rigby or Winchester Safari rifle. In my case I use two rimfires for this task. One is a GA Precision custom SAKO Quad in a McMillan A5 stock with Lilja bbl. I screw on a silencer to enable me to do back yard practice off sticks from my garage to an earth mound backstop at 35y without alarming my neighbors. This is legal in my locale but I still want to avoid scaring them in my quiet neighborhood. When at the range with the big guns, I also bring a Winchester Model 52R sporter that is a near carbon copy of my two hunting rifles. I can fire 10-15 rds from each of the big guns. But, I will run thru 50 or more in the 22 off sticks at various distances as well.
Keep in mind that a 1/2" lollipop (my tgt of choice for the 22) at 35y is the dimensional equivalent of a 3" killshot at 200y or so. Great practice. So, all you soon to go on Safari guys, pony up and buy this man's little Cooper before, I am forced to do so. GLWS

Thanks Guys! And what a great piece of advice on practicing on the sticks! That makes a ton of sense. Most of us never get on them until it really counts. I am going to take that advice to heart!
