This is a unique an interesting hunt. We have several hunting packs in our area that the local ranchers use to kill these cats.

Beautiful cat.

I have done the same hunt in the Eastern Cape, although I think we were in thicker brush! Running through the brush is the closest I've come to replicating the jungle in Cameroon - the only advantage in the Eastern Cape is that it isn't humid!

The fun is definitely in the chase. Much like hunting cougar, once the cat is treed, it's more or less like shooting fish in a barrel. Which is to to suggest that people don't mess up the shot!

Thanks for the post, I need to get a caracal yet.

This looks like a great hunt for sure! Hope to do this one day!

Just watched the video again! It's exciting! Will do this hunt one day

That would be fun and a cool mount as well!

Hello! I saw your post from last year about a missing crate from your hunt in Moz. I am curious how that all turned out? We (my fiancé and I) also hunted in Moz in 2024 and the trophies are being shipped with Hunters Services Limitada. We have some concerns on whether we will get the trophies home or not. May I ask who you hunted with?
