I have decided to go to SCI in Nashville with the wife. Last time there the parking was crazy at 50-60 dollars a day and no real hotel parking. Any ideas for hotels and parking? Thanks for the help.

There are several hotels right there in the downtown area that are walking distance. You can also stay in Brentwood/Franklin and uber to the convention center.

The Omni is next door and has valet parking.

We are staying at the Element Nashville Vanderbilt West End. It has a shuttle that will take you anywhere within reasonable distance of the hotel. That includes the convention center. They will also pick you up. Price was a bit more reasonable than the hotels closer to the convention center.

I live here…there are tons of options depending on what you want.
1) Downtown/SoBro right by Convention Center. Will be a bit more expensive but not as bad as it used to be because we have way more hotels built now
2) The Gulch just off downtown
3) West End…by Vanderbilt and a short Uber ride away from all the action
4) Further out from there you could go stay in Historic Franklin or just lime Cool Springs area…25 min Uber ride (I wouldn’t recommend being this far from downtown)

There’s parking everywhere…use a search filter on your travel site that may show price but yes hotels downtown charge a good bit (like everywhere these days)
I see plenty of options right downtown for the Convention dates for $250 a night or so

If you stay outside of walking distance an uber is probably cheaper than parking.

We are at the Residence Inn which is reasonably priced and walking distance.

I contacted the hotel directly and got a better price than what was offered through the SCI room block.

The J.W. Marriot is right across the street also and a great place to stay.

Wife and I stayed about a 5 minute Uber away last year and will do the same this year. It was way cheaper and also good to get some food away from the convention center. The banquet food and the convention center food was absolutely terrible.

I always pick Drury hotels - there’s is super nice in Nashville.
As mentioned above - the gulch has some really good restaurants, Biscuit love has a great breakfast

You might have edited your post on the PH in the Bubye. I know the PH and is a wonderful person and a fmaily man and runs a succesful business in Zim and just doesn't want the attention that the internet offers, the ugly kind.

Hello,

Am I reading your post correctly to say that the Tsavo rifle will be coming out with a composite stock later this year? I ask because I had been looking very hard for a Tsavo, but if there is going to be a composite stock model I will wait for that.

Thank you for your time,

Andrew

Saw your post. Nice. Denver too. Genesee area (just off 70) if ever up this way. Alternatively, do you have a membership at GGC? Whatever, you'll have a wonderful time in Africa. Enjoy.
