Strictly speaking, not an item of taxidermy, but interesting...

I think it's amazing!

Quite interesting

Very cool! Where did you find that?

My mother collects hippos of all kinds- she would love that!

I found it. Looks like these will run you about 5000 £!

Oh THAT is cool. Now all you need is lamps made out of Ostrich legs.

MY wife hates them; but I tell her its my version of the Christmas Story leg lamp

isnt their some kind of hippo table mount with taxidermy?

I bet you could level out a hippo skull and put a glass tabletop on it

I have seen it done by my taxidermist, but he has four legs supporting the glass top, unfortunately I don´t have any pics !

It is really cool, if I ever shoot a hippo, I will do it.

Here's a few photos I found online. Concur with @Nyati, definitely plan to get this done if I ever take a hippo.

And just for the sake of ridiculousness, there's always this option:

Love the table with the hippo skull will have that done when I get my hippo not too sue the long haired commander would approve though! :K Whip::V Chair:

I have seen the on in Highveld's showroom and it looks great
That is what I would have done if I get a hippo

That's stunning would love one of those but more likely to end up with just the skull with the glass top on it if I'm lucky

My Plan is to have the skull mounted on a pedestal sitting in water and reeds..Then incorporate an 8x10 picture frame in the pedestal. Too much $$$$$ to do the real thing. for me.

An excellent AH member right here! I had a fantastic transaction with Hornedfrogbbq (I was the seller). His communication was first rate, payment was extremely fast, and I would have absolutely no reservations at all dealing with him again. Thank you, F!
Here we are, the last day of the show in Denver, it's been a good show but expecting a quiet day today. I will be back for-sure to do this show next year and maybe also do the one in Sacramento California.

On Monday I will be hitting the road driving from Denver and eventually make it down to Atlanta for the flight home.

its going to be a good year!

Hi Rem280, Saw your post on getting selected for Idaho Elk. Do you have a zone(s) selected? I live in N Idaho, might be able to offer some ideas.

Cheers,

Craig
