Do many builders offer High Gloss Finishes? I thought Heym referred to it as a "London Finish", etc. Practicality aside, just curious if anyone has preferred, or requested it upon a build?

An example. Some glossy Add's or Online sites seem to misrepresent (or photo shop) the actual firearm.
Any help always appreciated, Dan.

I did it myself to my shotgun.

Thank you for the above, personal preference or to the contrary.
@UKHunter, I was curious. As Krieghoff doesn't advertise a high gloss, (perhaps they will?) I often wondered if it could be done by hand or a competent gunsmith ..

The Browning finish.

I personally prefer the warm glow of hand rubbed wood….ahem, rifle stock. I have knocked of a high sheen finish back with fine steel wool.

Sorry to ignore the question as my preference falls toward eggshell.

A 'London Best' finish is not hard to do, it just takes time. A lot of steps are involved to get there but its nothing that anyone at home couldn't do themselves. I am happy to send you how to do it if you PM me your email address.

That's okay, I thank you for your willingness. My compliments on taking the time to learn & apply it, however.
It sounds as if a lot of manufacturers or builders can accommodate this if desired.
"London's Best": Thank you.

Good morning. I see that you had a Sauer 202 for sale for $3,000. Did you sell it at that price?
I have one for sale as well. I listed it (on here ) at $3,000 as well. Is the price high, low or right where it should be?

Thanks. Alex. [redacted] in case you want to call me to discuss further. I appreciate your time help and support.

Dave, I could use both of them if still available. I just picked up a new .22 mag and a .22 pump that they would be perfect on.
