This is the old school, pre-Martini, Heym Express Rifle chambered in 450 Rigby. It comes as pictured with EAW pivot mounts and the Swarovski Scope. $7,500 shipped to your FFL.

Oh my! That’s a LOT of quality rifle and glass for the money. The Martini rifles have such lovely stocks, but also twice the money or more. This is about as fine a working rifle as I’ve seen come through in a while…and in such a great cartridge. I hope it does go fast, it should. If I weren’t trying to sneak another last minute hunt if I can carve the time, I’d be typing a much shorter response. Have wanted a 450 Rigby for a bit now, and to test drive one of Heym’s bolt guns. Seems like a great way to accomplish both.

If you’ve shot or hunted the rifle much, would love to hear how it shoots, what bullets it favors if at all picky, and LOP, weight would probably help others as well. Gorgeous rifle, GLWS and hope to personally stay away…unless you have interest/need in an early Dakota 76 Safari in 458WM.

Cheers,
W

That is a great price. I have several pre-Martini's and love them. I know I still have one in .416 Rigby and .404J, and may have another. They are properly weighted (except for the .375 in my opinion). I was thinking of selling the .416 Rigby, but now am thinking about adding another .450 Rigby. :) I love the 3-pos safety design on these as well.

A Heym in a great caliber. swing mounts and scope for $7500. I’m shocked it’s still here.

I’ve stated something similar before, but really shocked as to what sells here (quickly), and what lingers. I have absolutely no need for another .450 Rigby, but agree should be gone (and perhaps it is).

The rifle is not yet sold, but there are a few people asking about LOP and weight which I will provide to them tomorrow afternoon when I get home.

What is the minimum you would take.

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
