Hello, new user to the forum here. Getting into the hunting scene slowly here. Background is in flyer shotgun shooting and other 3 gun activities, cowboy action shooting and the such. Done some dove and pheasant hunting and rifle target shooting but now looking to explore the hunting world. It’s like learning a new language, but good thing I’m a quick learner. Glad to be here and sift through all the information that the forum has to offer. Wanted to say hello as recommended by another user here.

Good day! Welcome to AH! Enjoy the adventures the hunting world holds!
Best regards
Johan

Welcome to AH mayneak!

Welcome aboard!

You are at the right place. There is a treasure chest full of great information about all things hunting on this site - and in particular about hunting Africa - almost ever hunter's childhood fantasy. welcome aboard.

Welcome to the forum and to the hunt! Sounds like you’ve already got some serious trigger time under your belt — shotgun sports, 3-gun, cowboy action? You’re not starting from zero, you’re just adding a new chapter. Think of hunting as the ultimate live-fire exercise — nature’s moving target practice. Plenty of wisdom here (and a few wild stories too). Ask dumb questions, learn fast, and don’t be surprised when this crew pulls you down the rabbit hole. Glad to have you onboard

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
