G'day all,
Hope everyone had a good festive break and had some downtime.
I Have just purchased a Hornady reloading kit to reload for my .375 H&H and 450-400.
Can anybody recommend a load for the .375 using Woodleigh 270gn RNSN and AR2209 which I already have.
Cheers in advance.

My understanding is that AR2209 is the same powder as H4350. If this is correct, then I have a load. For several 270 gr bullets 75 grains H4350 has been very good.

@alby,

I have a Woodleigh manual, and for the Woodleigh 270 grain PP SN and RN SN, the listed starting load for AR2209 is 72.0 grains (2460 fps) and the maximum load is 79.0 grains (2690 fps). In the manual, is states that AR2209 is the same as H4350, so Ray B's load data falls within the parameters set forth by the Woodleigh manual.

For reference, the maximum case length is 2.850 inches, and the case trim length was 2.840 inches.

I'm not sure what barrel length the test barrel was for those velocity figures.

As usual, eye these figures cautiously and work-up slowly..

Good luck

Many thanks Ray & Sandman,
Will load a few up at 73gn, grab a chrono and see how they perform.
I measured the shells (once fired PPU' and they all came in under 2.850 inches.
Rifle is a CZ550, although it hasn't had much love since I acquired my first double..
Again thanks for your advice!
Cheers!
