From my operation here North Coast, British Columbia.

Angus

Some nice bears Angus.
Gorgeous country to hunt in.

It's a pretty spectacular place to spend time, no roads, need a 3hr ocean trip or a bush plane to access it. Feel pretty lucky to "work" here, it's now the largest protected tract of temperate rainforest in the world as well, the Great Bear Rainforest. That could spell trouble for my operation long term, the protected bit, but we're still allowed to hunt at present with 5,300 sq kms / 2,100 sq miles of wilderness.

Appreciate the kind words!

Pretty spectacular ?

That is an understatement !

The "fun" parts post hunting are omitted to keep it to a couple mins, left out are the natural ocean and riverside hotsprings, crabbing / prawning / fishing, 99% of the waterfalls exploring etc. Those are my favourite parts!

I'd come up for all of that Angus. The bear hunting would truly be a bonus.

Your scout hunts are a fabulous alternative. What a great adventure that would be. Got it on the list!

Trying to develop spring black bear in the same idea, it's an everything that's great about the outdoors trip, with a bonus black bear. Haven't found a way to explain why folks should come here rather than a treestand hunt over a stinking bait barrel in a cloud of bugs. Naturally I can't compete with a guy who drives to within a mile of his bait barrel, with my boats and floatplane to get in, but a guy sure experiences a lot more here.

Seriously, let's stay in touch. It may take a couple of years but I am looking for alternatives in my home and native land. The cost for me and my boys is often too high here. The experience you offer is something unique.

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
