Well around Johannesburg we do not have any trout streams, they are a few hours away, what we do have is "yellow gold" .Yellow fish both large mouth and small mouth can be caught within an hours drive.

We also have Bass, Kurper, Mud fish, Barbel, Carp, etc within an hour or two (and even closer). Tigerfish are a few hours away in Jozini dam though Rust de Winter dam which is an hour and a half away has dwarf tigers but I have never seen or caught one there but the Bass fishing is pretty good there but you must watch out for the crocs and hippos !

Hi ! Craig, just need to know is there any dbbl O/U or S/S rifle in .22 Hi Power or .22 WMRF available for sale or can this be customized in walnut stock?

Hi Monish,

I do not have any doubles in stock as per your discription at the moment , we do not see many of them here in South Africa in those calibres. Not sure what you mean by: "can this be customized in walnut stock?" If you want to know if we could build one or restock one yes we could, please send me an email as to what you are looking for and I will see if I can assist.

Thanks Craig , what I meant was, can a rifle in dbbl side lock or a boxlock with ejectors with 23 inch barrel be customized in .22 WMRF or a .22 Hi-Power centre fire, in walnut wood stock with a cheek rest ? if so what would be the price ?

Hi Monish,

In short the answer is yes but in order to give you an idea as to the estimated costs one would need more details e.g. what grade of walnut do you require, what sort of checkering, what calibre and action type is your double, what is the condition, etc, etc.
