I am planning on selling my double gun so I thought I would see if anyone here was interested in this nice handguard. It is a william powell. Made in england. Fits a 12 guage sxs shotgun with a splinter forend. Asking 40 shipped in the us

I'm not familiar with handguards. Is that to place on the foreend when the gun is in the safe to protect it from other guns?

No it slips over the barrels on side by sides that have a splinter forend so that you have more of a gripping surface and to protect your hand from hot barrels.

I have a different brand and have primarily used it shooting sporting clays where my barrels can get hot. Works well. Also nice to keep sweat and body oils off a fine barrel to help prevent rust/corrosion. I take mine off when in the safe.
