Beautiful rifle! Too bad you caught me in a bad time, or I would have taken that rifle off your hands. Good luck!

Oh trust me, my wheels have been turning since I saw this post. I'm a huge No. 1 fan. We are only about 2 hrs apart. I live in Warner Robins, by the Robins AFB here in GA. Trust me, if I could, I would and we'd be talking about where to meet. LOL!!!!

Toby where do you keep finding these?

Someone will come along and scarf it up.

It is a beautiful rifle in one of the most iconic chamberings.

If I wasn't picking up a nice No 1 in 30-40 Krag on Friday....

Hang in there. It will be gone before the month is done.

And I can relate to what you are doing! When I was raising cash for my first safari I sold the most beautiful AAA French Walnut Kimber 308 you've ever seen, a Les Baer Thunder Ranch Special and an M1A. All three were great guns.

The thing is, guns can be replaced. Safari memories last forever and you can't make them without going on safari! And the taxidermy are tangible reminders.

We do what we gotta do...

$1300 plus shipping with 2 boxes of PPU ammo if purchased through gunbroker. I'll do $1275.00 plus shipping for gun and ammo if we don't go through gunbroker, so I don't have to pay the GB fee. Rifle will be shipped to your FFL dealer.

I sure don’t need.... but I sure do want!!! [emoji51]

Need has nothing to do with it! Buy it before I breakdown!

A man can never have too much red wine, too many books, or too many No. 1 rifles (to steal and twist a quote from Mr. Kipling)..

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
